# Stripe payments

> Collect invoice payments through a hosted link and keep the receivable in sync.

When Stripe is configured, an Underflow invoice can include a hosted payment link. The payer completes checkout on Stripe, and Stripe sends the result back to Underflow.

## Successful payments

A successful webhook creates a payment against the invoice and reduces its open balance. The receipt remains tied to the receivable and the policy transaction that created it.

Checks and wires can be recorded against the same invoice, so the accounting view does not split by payment method.

## Refunds and disputes

A refund or dispute creates a reversal that points to the original receipt. The invoice reopens by the reversed amount while preserving both entries in its history.

## Reconciliation

Stripe records and other bank activity enter the same reconciliation workflow. Import the bank file, review suggested matches, and resolve the remaining exceptions. See [Payments and reconciliation](https://docs.useunderflow.com/accounting/payments-and-reconciliation.md).

Underflow provisions the Stripe connection for the MGA, so there are no provider credentials to manage in the workbench.
